Motorola has revealed a new addition to its foldable lineup at CES 2026 with the Razr Fold, signalling a shift beyond the flip-style phones the brand is best known for. While several details are still under wraps, Motorola has confirmed the form factor, display sizes, camera setup, and stylus support, offering a clear idea of where the device is positioned.

Motorola Razr Fold: Design, display, and core features

The Razr Fold is Motorola’s first book-style foldable smartphone, opening up like a compact tablet rather than folding vertically. It features an 8.1-inch LTPO foldable inner display with 2K resolution, aimed at productivity, media consumption, and multitasking. When closed, users can rely on a large 6.6-inch cover screen that functions much like a regular smartphone display, reducing the need to open the device for everyday tasks.

Photography is a key focus. The Razr Fold comes with a triple rear camera setup, all rated at 50-megapixel. This includes a Sony LYTIA main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with macro support, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, Motorola has added a 32-megapixel camera on the outer display and a 20-megapixel camera on the inner screen. Video recording supports Dolby Vision, aligning the phone with premium content creation needs.

On the software side, Motorola has highlighted foldable-focused features such as adaptive layouts, flexible app behaviour, and improved multitasking. The Razr Fold also supports the Moto Pen Ultra stylus, adding note-taking and creative capabilities that are still uncommon in this segment. The phone will be offered in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White finishes, continuing Motorola’s design-led approach.

Motorola Razr Fold: Price and availability

Motorola has not revealed full pricing details yet but leaks and industry sources indicate the Razr Fold could be priced starting around $1,500. More complete pricing and availability information for regions including the United States, is expected closer to the global launch, which is slated for summer 2026.
