OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 for the Nord 4 in India. The update arrives in batches and will reach more users over the next few days.

Storage and Home Screen Changes
The update lets you access storage cleanup tools straight from Smart Sidebar instead of digging through settings. OnePlus has also improved icon customization—you can now resize app icons and rearrange shortcuts by dragging them around. The same goes for app clone icons.
Photos App Gets Faster
Three new filters have been added to the Photos app: Motion Photo, Screenshots & screen recordings, and Edited. OnePlus says they’ve also sped up how quickly thumbnails load when you open the app.
Circle to Search Tweak
If you use gesture navigation with the gesture bar hidden, you can still activate Circle to Search by tapping where the bar would normally be. It’s a small fix but removes an annoying limitation.
Privacy Updates
Private Safe now lets you edit photos and videos without unlocking them first. Phone Manager will also start asking if you want to enable automatic blocklist updates over Wi-Fi and mobile data, which should catch more spam calls and threats.
Security Patch
The January 2026 Android security patch is included, patching vulnerabilities and tightening up system security.
This update only works if you’re already on OxygenOS 16. If you’re still running OxygenOS 15, you’ll need to upgrade to the base OxygenOS 16 version first.
OnePlus is starting with a small group of users before opening it up wider. Standard practice to catch any bugs before everyone gets it.
