Fresh details have emerged about the Xiaomi Pad 8 ahead of its India debut, confirming that the tablet will arrive in two versions. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi will offer the device with a standard screen as well as a Nano Texture Display option when it launches on February 28 alongside the Xiaomi 17 series.

The Nano Texture model is expected to mirror the variant sold in China that uses an anti-glare nano-texture layer combined with AR coating to cut reflections by around 70 percent. Xiaomi marketed this version as the Soft Light edition in its home market.

Key specifications have also been teased through Amazon’s promotional page. The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and is claimed to cross 2 million points on AnTuTu benchmarks. Xiaomi is also promoting battery endurance, stating that the device will pack a 9000mAh battery capable of lasting up to two days on a single charge. The listing additionally confirms support for accessories such as the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro and the Xiaomi Focus Keyboard.

Xiaomi has already scheduled the India launch event for February 28, 2026, at 6:30 PM IST. Pricing, storage options, and availability timelines are expected to be revealed during the announcement.
Based on the Chinese model, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is expected to feature an 11.2-inch panel with 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display delivers 345 PPI pixel density, peak brightness up to 800 nits, DC dimming support, and TÜV Rheinland triple eye protection certification. The tablet runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and includes a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C, along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. The device measures 5.75mm thick and weighs 485 grams. Fast charging support is rated at 45W, positioning the Xiaomi Pad 8 as a slim performance-focused tablet designed for productivity, media consumption, and gaming.
