Samsung’s latest flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 series, is reportedly seeing strong demand during its pre-order phase. An early industry report (via) indicates that the new devices are attracting significant interest from buyers. At the same time, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has received a major industry award at MWC 2026, highlighting the technological advancements introduced with the series.
Galaxy S26 series pre-orders show strong demand

According to telecom industry sources in South Korea, the Galaxy S26 series is performing well in early pre-order sales. Analysts believe the lineup could surpass the record set by the Galaxy S25 series, which recorded approximately 1.3 million units during its reservation period.
While the final figures have not yet been confirmed, several telecom officials noted that the current sales momentum appears stronger than last year’s flagship lineup. Among the available models, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is reportedly attracting the highest share of demand from buyers.
Samsung executives have also hinted at strong early performance. Company representatives revealed that sales of the Galaxy S26 lineup are currently about 15 percent higher than the previous generation, with the Ultra variant accounting for nearly 70 percent of the orders.
Industry observers believe that a mix of factors is contributing to this strong response. Carrier inventories of the Galaxy S25 series have largely been cleared, encouraging upgrades. In addition, premium smartphone buyers appear to be showing strong interest in the new lineup.
Galaxy S26 Ultra wins Best in Show at MWC 2026

Alongside its early market momentum, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has also received recognition at the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO) during MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The device won the Best in Show award, one of the highest honours presented at the event.
The judging panel highlighted the device’s integration of advanced hardware with One UI 8.5 software and Galaxy AI features designed to simplify daily tasks while maintaining strong privacy protections.
One of the standout technologies is the built-in Privacy Display, which improves screen privacy without compromising visual quality. Judges noted that the device stood out among thousands of products showcased at MWC because it delivers meaningful innovation that users can experience today.
