Ahead of the debut of its first Win-branded gaming laptop in China, Honor has revealed a new 360W GaN charger, giving a hint at the kind of hardware this machine is expected to run.
The charger was teased by Honor exec Lin Lin on Weibo. On paper, it combines GaN and SiC materials, which have become pretty common in high-end chargers over the past couple of years. The main benefit is better efficiency without the usual bulk that comes with high-wattage laptop bricks. The size is also compact for what it is.
Weight is where it gets a bit more interesting. The charger comes in at around 405 grams, which is noticeably lighter than most 300W adapters you typically get with gaming laptops. Not exactly pocketable, but definitely easier to carry around in a bag.
Honor is sticking with a standard barrel connector here instead of going fully USB-C. That might feel a bit dated, although it’s still the norm for higher power gaming systems. The company hasn’t said anything about official USB-C converters yet, but third-party options exist and are easy to find.
Another small but useful detail, the charger won’t be limited to the upcoming laptop. Honor plans to sell it separately as well, which could make it a decent option for other high-performance laptops that can handle this level of power input.
As for the laptop itself, early details point to configurations going up to an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU paired with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX. Combined power draw is said to cross 250W, so a 360W adapter gives some breathing room for sustained loads.
The official launch is expected sometime in April 2026, with more details, including pricing, likely coming very soon.
