Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Garment Steamer 2 on its Youpin platform. The device will enter crowdfunding on April 6, with a standard price of 599 yuan ($86) and an introductory price of 509 yuan ($74) during the campaign.

The Mijia Garment Steamer 2 offers a steam output of 120g/min to remove stubborn wrinkles by deeply penetrating fabric. It features a 500kPa electromagnetic pump for strong, consistent steam and a spray distance of up to 150cm, ideal for vertical and hard-to-reach ironing tasks.
The steamer uses a dual heating system with separate boilers for the main unit and iron, producing micron-level dry steam that prevents clothes from becoming damp. It heats up in just 65 seconds, reducing wait time.
Xiaomi included six dedicated ironing modes for common fabrics. These modes allow users to adjust the heat according to fabric type, covering cotton at 145°C, silk at 110°C, synthetic fibers at 125°C, linen at 160°C, blended fabrics at 115°C, and wool at 130°C. The device features NTC temperature control technology to maintain heat stability and prevent fabric damage.
The Mijia Garment Steamer 2 features an 8.75-inch ceramic-glazed ironing panel for efficient and smooth ironing. Its visible water tank can handle up to 15 garments per fill, depending on fabric type. The steamer supports both dry ironing for shaping and wet ironing for removing deep wrinkles.
The device incorporates several safety and convenience features. It includes automatic shut-off after 8 minutes of inactivity, a color display for temperature settings, and a handle for portability. Xiaomi also added cord storage and a heat-resistant silicone pad to make the steamer easier to handle and store after use.
Xiaomi claims that the steamer provides 99.99% sterilization and 100% mite removal, which makes it suitable for sanitizing clothes. It also removes odors using high-temperature steam.
