Xiaomi has announced a major update for its TV interface, bringing a refreshed experience for users. The Xiaomi TV Desktop 4.0 version will begin rolling out from April 13 in phases across supported models.
Xiaomi TV Desktop 4.0: Key features and improvements

The Xiaomi TV Desktop 4.0 brings a redesigned interface with a vertical navigation layout, replacing the earlier horizontal structure. This change is expected to make navigation quicker, allowing users to access frequently used features and recommended content with fewer steps. The overall responsiveness of the interface is also expected to improve.
Another notable addition is the ability to preview highlights from popular shows and programs directly on the home screen. This allows users to quickly discover content without needing to open full episodes. The playback history section has also been refined, organizing viewing records based on content type and time for easier access.

The sports section has received a significant upgrade as well. Users will be able to set reminders for upcoming matches and receive alerts when they go live. The update also introduces support for viewing multiple matches on the same screen, which could be particularly useful during major tournaments.
Parental control features have also been enhanced. The improved child mode allows remote management through connected devices, enabling functions such as screen locking, viewing time limits, and access to viewing reports. This helps parents monitor and manage their child’s screen usage more effectively.
