Xiaomi has launched the REDMI A7 Pro 5G in India, marking the first “Pro” model in its entry-level REDMI A Series. The device brings a larger display, a bigger battery, and the introduction of Xiaomi HyperOS 3 to this segment.

REDMI A7 Pro 5G

The REDMI A7 Pro 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, with peak brightness reaching 800 nits. The screen includes DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free use, and circadian-friendly viewing. It also supports Wet Touch Technology 2.0, allowing the screen to respond accurately even with damp or oily fingers. The phone measures 8.15mm in thickness and weighs 210g, and is available in Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange.

The device is powered by a 6nm 2.2GHz octa-core UNISOC T8300 processor paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. It comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and offers 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. It also supports virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with GLONASS, Galileo, and BDS, along with a USB Type-C port.

The smartphone runs Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3. It introduces features like Google Gemini, Circle to Search, HyperIsland for multitasking, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity. The company promises 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates.

For optics, the phone includes a 32MP rear camera with HDR+ and Night Mode, and an 8MP front camera with beauty filters and Night Mode. Additional tools include AI Sky and Document Mode. The REDMI A7 Pro 5G packs a 6,300mAh battery with 15W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. It is rated for 1,000 charge cycles and retains over 80 percent capacity after four years.

Pricing & availability

The phone is priced at Rs. 11,499 for the 4GB + 64GB model and Rs. 12,499 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. It will be available from April 15 via Amazon, mi.com, and retail stores, with up to three months of no-cost EMI.
