Samsung has launched the 32-inch Odyssey G8 G80HS gaming monitor in Germany for €1,499. The shipping is set to begin on June 19.

Samsung Odyssey G8 G80HS Specs
Samsung describes the Odyssey G8 as the world’s first 6K gaming monitor. The 32-inch monitor features a 6K (6144 x 3456) IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate. It also offers a 3K (3072 x 1728) resolution mode with an ultra-fast 330Hz refresh rate.
The Odyssey G8 G80HS provides a dense 224 PPI for sharper image quality and supports high dynamic range (HDR) with HDR10+ Gaming. Samsung says this enhances brightness and contrast in real-time, showing dark shadows and bright highlights with greater clarity. The screen achieves 99% sRGB coverage, delivering vivid colors across a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees.

The monitor features a 1ms GtG response time for smooth motion and supports both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium to minimize screen tearing. It also includes a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 350 nits.
Samsung has included several connectivity options for the Odyssey G8. The monitor features two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1, and a USB hub with multiple ports. The ergonomic stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments to enhance comfort during long gaming sessions. The device lacks built-in speakers, but it includes a headphone jack for external audio solutions.

The monitor features a sleek black finish with VESA mounting compatibility. It weighs 7.4 kg with the stand and ships with a factory calibration report for accurate out-of-the-box performance.
In related news, Xiaomi has recently introduced the budget-friendly Redmi G24Q monitor featuring a 2K 180Hz IPS panel, alongside the more premium Redmi G Pro 32U 2026 with a 4K 160Hz Mini LED display.
