Xiaomi’s portable power banks are quite popular among our readers. The Xiaomi Ultra Slim 5000mAh Power Bank, for instance. Now, the company has introduced a new portable charger in China called the Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000 45W. The device is currently available for pre-order in the mainland for 369 yuan (around $54).

Xiaomi Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh Specifications
As the name implies, the new power bank focuses heavily on portability. Xiaomi says the device measures just 13.2mm thick and weighs 195g. It features a compact body measuring 102 x 70.5 x 13.2mm and uses two 5,000mAh battery cells inside.
Xiaomi is using a new GSR silicon-carbon anode battery technology. According to the company, the battery offers an energy density of up to 840Wh/L and contains 16% silicon content, which is usually seen in flagship-grade batteries. Xiaomi claims this allows the power bank to maintain a large battery capacity without becoming bulky.

The device supports up to 20W magnetic wireless charging and is compatible with both Xiaomi smartphones and Apple iPhones. Wired charging speeds can go up to 45W, while it also supports 40W, 30W, and 27W charging. Users can also charge two devices at the same time using wired and wireless charging together.
The power bank itself can recharge at up to 30W and supports common charging protocols, including QC and PD.
Its safety features include protection against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, overheating, and abnormal operating conditions. It also uses an NTC intelligent temperature control chip alongside graphene heat-dissipation material and thermally conductive silicone for better heat management.

The company shared several durability claims for the battery cells, including resistance to needle penetration, high-temperature storage, and heavy-pressure compression tests. Xiaomi says the cells did not catch fire or explode during these tests.
Most interestingly, users can connect the power bank to a computer to check battery health, device status, traceability information, and anomaly records.
