Xiaomi and its sub-brand Redmi are planning to launch new phones in India in June. While the Xiaomi 17T is confirmed to debut on June 1, the launch date of the Redmi Turbo 5 is yet to be officially confirmed. According to a report by SmartPrix, the Redmi Turbo 5 could launch in the country on June 18. The report also claims that Redmi may announce another device called the Redmi 17 alongside the Turbo 5. Here’s a look at the leaked specifications of the device.

As per the report, the Redmi 17 will feature an LCD panel with support for a high refresh rate. It remains to be seen whether the device will use the same 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate that was seen on the Redmi 15.

Under the hood, the Redmi 17 is said to feature a Snapdragon 4-series chipset. While the report does not reveal the exact processor name, there is a possibility that it could use the latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, which debuted last month.

Like recent Redmi smartphones, the Redmi 17 is expected to ship with HyperOS based on Android 16. For photography, the device may feature a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Redmi 17 is also tipped to house a massive 7,000mAh+ battery, although details regarding its fast charging support are still unknown.

The specifications of the Redmi Turbo 5 are already known, as the device launched earlier this year in China. It is also expected to arrive as a rebranded version of the Poco X8 Pro. The device is likely to feature a 6.58-inch 1.5K 120Hz display, a Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, a 7,560mAh battery with 100W charging support, a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual rear camera setup, and a 20-megapixel front camera.
