In a recent Weibo post, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) claimed that, apart from Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo are also planning to launch their next-generation flagship smartphones in September. Now, a fresh leak suggests that a few more flagship devices, which were previously expected to debut in October or November, could also be brought forward to September.
What to expect this September?

According to DCS’ latest Weibo post, one smartphone sub-brand under a major Chinese manufacturer has already decided to advance the launch of its next flagship to the third quarter of 2026. While the tipster did not name the brand, it is believed that he may be referring to the Redmi K100 series. In an earlier post, DCS had suggested that the next-generation K100 lineup could arrive ahead of schedule in Q3.

The tipster further claims that the upcoming OnePlus 16 and iQOO 16 may also be moved up to September. He adds that regulatory filings and product development timelines are being accelerated, indicating that several flagship launches could take place earlier than originally planned.
If these claims prove accurate, September could become one of the busiest months of the year for flagship smartphone launches. Brands are likely aiming to position their devices as alternatives to the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series, which is expected to launch in September, following Apple’s usual release schedule.
That said, readers should treat these claims with caution. While some brands may currently be targeting a September launch window, final launch schedules could still shift to October or November.
An earlier debut in China could also pave the way for faster global rollouts. If these flagship devices launch in September or during the first few weeks of October, there is a strong possibility that their global variants could arrive before the end of the year.
