Leaks are consistently revealing new details about upcoming flagship phones, which are expected to break cover from September onward. Speaking of September, a recent leak revealed that the Vivo X500 series may go official in the same month. Several reports have claimed that the Vivo X500 Pro Max will be a new addition to the lineup this year. Recently, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared details about the X500 Pro Max’s display and battery. Now, he is back with more information about its camera setup.

Vivo X500 Pro Max camera specifications leaked

According to the latest information, the Vivo X500 Pro Max’s engineering prototype is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony LOFIC primary camera featuring a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. While the tipster has not specified the exact sensor, it appears to be the upcoming Sony LYT-838.

The telephoto department is said to include a 200-megapixel periscope camera with an even larger 1/1.4-inch sensor, which could deliver significant improvements in zoom photography and low-light performance.

The ultra-wide camera is also reportedly under evaluation. Vivo is said to be testing a 50-megapixel IMX8-series mid-sized sensor for the ultra-wide shooter, although a smaller 50-megapixel sensor remains an alternative option. As the device is still in the testing phase, the final camera specifications could change before launch.

Under the hood, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to feature a 2nm Dimensity 9600-series chip. On the front, it is said to house a BOE-made 6.85-inch flat display with LIPO technology, offering a 2K resolution along with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The X500 Pro Max is expected to draw power from a battery of around 8,000mAh capacity, but its charging capabilities have not yet been revealed. As a next-generation flagship, the device is expected to ship with Android 17 and OriginOS 7 out of the box.
