Earlier today, Redmi silently unveiled the Redmi 17C, an entry-level 4G smartphone, in China. The brand is expected to unveil a couple of Note series mid-range offerings before it introduces the Redmi K100 series in September or October. A fresh leak reveals that a Redmi Note 17 series phone with a massive battery may launch in July.
Redmi Note 17 series phone’s key details emerge

According to the tipster, an upcoming mid-range Redmi model is said to focus on practicality, featuring a large-capacity battery in the 9,000mAh range, a 1.5K flat display, high-volume dual speakers, and enhanced durability with flagship-level water and drop resistance.
The tipster also claims that the device will be powered by a power-efficient Snapdragon 6-series chipset. While he did not specify the exact chip, it could be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. To recall, when the chip was announced in May, it was confirmed that a Redmi phone would be one of the first adopters of this chipset. Hence, there is a possibility that this could be a Redmi Note 17 series phone.
While Redmi appears set to push battery capacity further in its budget and mid-range lineup, the rumored 10,000mAh battery phone, which seems to be the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, is reportedly planned for a later release. It may debut in China in August or September.
At present, the brand also appears to be working on the launch of another Redmi K90 series phone. Expected to launch later this month, the Redmi K90 Ultra is rumored to arrive with key specifications such as a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, an 8,500mAh battery with 100W charging support, and a built-in air-cooling fan system.
