Nothing has expanded its mid-range lineup with the Phone (4a) (launched March 2026) and the newer Phone (4b). Both deliver the brand’s signature transparent design and Glyph interface but target slightly different users. The 4a is the more premium mid-ranger, while the 4b focuses on value with a bigger battery. Here’s a head-to-head breakdown.

1Design and Build
Both phones share Nothing’s iconic transparent back with Glyph lights (customizable LED patterns for notifications and calls). The Phone 4a uses a glass back with Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front, while the 4b opts for polycarbonate with a slightly different Glyph Bar layout. Both measure ~8.6 mm thick and carry an IP64 rating. The 4a feels a touch more premium with its glass elements, but the 4b is lighter in the hand for some users. Colors are vibrant on both (Black, White, Blue, and special editions).
Winner: Tie — both look unique and feel solid in the segment.
