Oppo has expanded its lineup of compact premium smartphones with the launch of the Reno 16. While it may appear to be the natural successor to the Reno 15 Pro Mini (also known as Reno 15 Pro in some markets; model numbers CPH2813/CPH2811), the two devices take different approaches to performance, cameras, and battery life. Both feature a 6.32-inch display, premium design, and flagship-inspired camera hardware, but they target different types of users.

If you’re deciding between the Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini and the newer Reno 16, here’s how they compare.

3Battery life and charging

Battery life is one area where the Reno 16 pulls ahead.

The newer model packs a larger 6,700mAh battery compared to the Reno 15 Pro Mini’s 6,500mAh unit. Both support 80W wired fast charging, allowing them to recharge quickly despite their large batteries.

The extra battery capacity, combined with the more efficient Snapdragon processor, should help the Reno 16 deliver slightly longer screen-on time during regular use.
