TCL has announced the Q95K soundbar today in China. It is an 11.1.4-channel audio system with a peak output of 1,420W. The system is built to support modern home theater and gaming setups, focusing on physical surround speakers and high-bandwidth connectivity rather than relying solely on virtualized audio.
TCL Q95K Soundbar Specifications
The Q95K comes as a four-piece set: the main soundbar, a wireless subwoofer, and two wireless rear speakers. Together, they house 22 speaker drivers across 16 physical channels. The main unit outputs the front, center, side surround, wide surround, and front height channels. The two wireless rear speakers add rear surround and rear height channels to support spatial audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
TCL worked with Bang & Olufsen to tune the audio. The soundbar also uses B&O’s Beosonic interface, which lets users adjust sound profiles via a mobile app. Inside, the Q95K runs on a MediaTek MT8532 processor and uses 12 separate amplifier chips.
TCL says this separates the amplification for different driver groups to reduce channel interference. The system has a frequency response range of 30Hz to 20kHz and uses aluminum diaphragms with neodymium magnets. The wireless subwoofer uses two 7-inch opposing drivers, a layout meant to reduce cabinet vibration during heavier bass output.
For connectivity, the Q95K includes three HDMI 2.1 ports with 48Gbps bandwidth. It supports 4K video passthrough at 144Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and HDMI eARC. It also supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, Spotify, and Apple AirPlay 2.
The soundbar includes a feature called T-Chord, which syncs its audio with the built-in speakers on compatible TCL TVs. It also has a room calibration tool in the TCL app and a dual-mode optimization setting that automatically adjusts the sound profile depending on whether the 6.87cm-thick bar is wall-mounted or placed on a table.
TCL also announced two other models. The Q85K is a 7.1.2-channel system with 16 drivers and 1,180W peak output. The Q75K is another 7.1.2-channel system, but with 14 drivers and 580W peak output.
Pricing and Availability
All three models launched in China today, July 27. The Q95K costs 6,999 yuan ($1,034), the Q85K is 5,999 yuan ($886), and the Q75K is 4,699 yuan ($694).
