Recent reports about Motorola’s next Moto G-series phone have now gained more weight, with the Moto G Max appearing on Flipkart ahead of its India debut. The listing has confirmed the launch date while also giving us a detailed look at the phone’s design and key specifications.
Moto G Max specifications revealed ahead of India launch


The Moto G Max will launch in India on August 14 at 12pm, according to its Flipkart landing page. The phone features a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,050 nits HBM brightness, and Water Touch 2.0 for improved usability when the screen is wet.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola is also advertising up to 18GB of RAM with its RAM Boost feature, combining physical memory with virtual RAM to handle more apps and tasks.


For photography, the Moto G Max has a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 main camera alongside an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 32-megapixel selfie camera sits on the front and comes with AI-based photo enhancement features.
The phone packs a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 1,000 recharge cycles. Motorola claims up to three days of battery life. The device also features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 16 out of the box. Motorola promises two OS upgrades and three years of security updates.



The Moto G Max has a satin finish with Pantone-curated colors and a design that includes a flat frame and a prominent camera module. It carries IP64 protection, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic, and MIL-STD 810H certification for added durability.
The Flipkart listing also confirms blue, dark gray, and pink color options. Pricing and availability details beyond the August 14 launch are yet to be revealed.
