JBL Pulse 6 Specifications

On the outside, the Pulse 6 keeps the transparent cylindrical design of older models but adds an illuminated handle to the top. Given that the speaker weighs 1.49kg and measures 131.7 x 264.1 x 106.4mm, the handle makes it noticeably easier to pick up and move around.

The transparent casing covers a 360-degree LED lighting system that syncs with whatever audio is playing. You can choose from 16 different lighting patterns using the JBL One app, which also includes basic EQ controls. For durability, the speaker has an IP68 rating, meaning it is fully protected against dust and can handle being submerged in water.

Inside, the audio setup consists of a 30W RMS woofer and a 10W RMS tweeter, providing a total output of 40W. JBL says the frequency response is between 42Hz and 20kHz. The speaker also uses an audio algorithm that JBL calls AI Sound Boost, which is designed to analyze the music in real-time to prevent distortion when you turn the volume up.

For connectivity, the Pulse 6 supports Bluetooth 6.0 with SBC, AAC, and LC3 codecs, along with Auracast for pairing with compatible JBL speakers. It also features a built-in DAC and USB-C port for lossless audio playback from Mac or Windows PCs.
