I have been spending some time with the upcoming iQOO Z11 ahead of its India launch, and the phone makes a strong first impression with its combination of a large curved display, a massive battery, and a new focus on AI features. iQOO is positioning the Z11 in the under-Rs 40,000 segment, with the phone set to launch in India on August 20.
iQOO claims that the Z11 is designed with students in mind, especially because its AI features can help with studying, taking notes, summarizing information, writing assignments, and handling everyday academic tasks. After trying some of these features, I can see why the company is emphasizing practical AI use cases rather than treating AI as just another specification.
1AI Creation can do more than summarize text
One of the features I have spent time trying is AI Creation, which works as a writing and text-processing assistant. It can be accessed from the editing page in Notes and DocMaster, where it offers several tools.
The available options include Summary, Polish, Shorten, Extend, Continue writing, Revise grammar, Smart layout, Extract to-dos and Translate. There are also dedicated templates for Articles, Brainstorming and Work summary.
This means you can take a block of text and ask the phone to summarize, polish, shorten or expand it. Continue writing can help extend existing content, while Revise grammar can clean up the writing.
AI Creation is also available through the system clipboard in supported third-party apps. You can long-press inside a text field, open Clipboard and access the AI tools for content generation or polishing.
For students, this could be useful when working with long study material, preparing notes or cleaning up written work. I will be testing the quality of the generated content more extensively in the full review.
