I have been spending some time with the upcoming iQOO Z11 ahead of its India launch, and the phone makes a strong first impression with its combination of a large curved display, a massive battery, and a new focus on AI features. iQOO is positioning the Z11 in the under-Rs 40,000 segment, with the phone set to launch in India on August 20.
iQOO claims that the Z11 is designed with students in mind, especially because its AI features can help with studying, taking notes, summarizing information, writing assignments, and handling everyday academic tasks. After trying some of these features, I can see why the company is emphasizing practical AI use cases rather than treating AI as just another specification.
4A bright, curved AMOLED display
The iQOO Z11 features a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The company claims it is the brightest display in its segment, with 2,000 nits HBM brightness and 3,000 nits local peak brightness. In my initial use outdoors, I found the display bright enough, with text remaining clearly visible even under bright sunlight.
The 144Hz refresh rate is immediately noticeable when scrolling through the interface, while the curved edges give the phone a more premium appearance. The large display panel also makes the phone well suited for watching videos and browsing content
