Fossil has added a new premium model to its Machine collection, bringing together an industrial design and mechanical watchmaking. The Machine X-1 is positioned as a sportier take on the series, with a design inspired by racing culture.
Fossil Machine X-1 brings exposed mechanics to the Machine collection

The Machine X-1 features a 42mm stainless steel case with a multi-piece construction and industrial knurling. Its fully skeletonized black dial exposes the internal mechanical components, while a sapphire crystal provides a clear view of the movement. The watch also gets an exhibition case back, giving users a look at the mechanics from both sides.
Inside, the timepiece uses a Japanese automatic movement with 24 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve. The tonneau-shaped stainless steel case is paired with a black silicone strap designed to give the watch a sporty character. An oversized crown takes inspiration from the shape of a crosshead screwdriver, adding another mechanical-inspired element to the design.
The watch measures 18mm at the strap width and comes with a single-prong buckle. Fossil is offering the Machine X-1 in black, black with gold-tone accents, and blue variants. The collection is priced at Rs 40,995 (~$430) in India.
The new model continues the industrial styling associated with Fossil’s Machine family while taking the exposed-mechanics approach further. The skeletonized dial, sapphire crystal and exhibition case back put the automatic movement at the center of the design, while the silicone strap and tonneau case give it a more contemporary, sporty appearance.
Varun Dhawan, Fossil India’s brand ambassador, has also highlighted the watch’s combination of racing-inspired details, mechanical elements and architectural styling. With its automatic movement and premium construction, the Machine X-1 is aimed at buyers looking for a statement mechanical watch rather than a conventional everyday timepiece.
