A new Vivo smartphone bearing the model number V2607 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. While this device is meant for the global market, another device with model number V2608A for the Chinese market has bagged 3C certification in China. Here’s a look at the details that have emerged through these sightings.

The Geekbench AI listing reveals that the Vivo V2607 is powered by the MediaTek MT6881 chip, which includes four CPU cores working at 2.0GHz and the remaining four cores operating at 2.60GHz. It appears that this chip could be the Dimensity 7500. The listing also reveals 8GB of RAM and Android 16, which will most likely have the OriginOS 6 skin on top.

The Vivo camp has three Dimensity 7500-powered phones so far. These include the Vivo S60e (or Vitality Edition) and iQOO Z11S, available in the Chinese market, and the iQOO Z11, available in India. It remains to be seen whether the V2607 ends up as a rebranded version of the Vivo S60e or Z11S for the global market or a completely new device.

So far, China’s 3C authority has approved a couple of upcoming Vivo phones, such as V2602A, V2602DA, and V2609A. And now, it has approved a new V2608A phone with a 90W charger, but unfortunately, there is no information about its final marketing name.

So far, it appears the V2602DA could be the Vivo X500 Pro Max with satellite communication, while the V2602A could be the X500 Pro without satellite communication support. The V2609A could be the Vivo X500 Pro. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the V2608A is a standard Vivo X500 or something else.
