AGM‘s new PAD P3 Compact is built for field work where you need something you can actually handle easily. It has an 8.68″ display with an 800 x 1,340 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness hits 600 nits, and the whole thing is 14.5 mm thick. It comes with an adjustable strap so you can carry it hands-free, and there’s an optional rotating metal stand if you want to prop it up at different angles.

Under the hood it’s powered by a MediaTek Helio G99, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable via microSD up to 1TB). The 7,200mAh battery supports 18W charging. On the camera side there’s a 50MP rear shooter, and it even has a built-in camping light for when you’re working in the dark.
Durability is the main selling point here. It carries IP68 and IP69K ratings plus MIL-STD-810H certification, so it should shrug off dust, water, and drops. It runs Android 16, supports Widevine L1 for HD streaming, and includes NFC, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Connectivity depends on the market: the global version has 4G and eSIM, while the US version is Wi-Fi only.

Compared with AGM’s older PAD P2 Active, this one is smaller and upgrades the display from 90Hz to 120Hz. Against thinner, lighter options like the Alldocube iPlay Mini 4 or Lenovo Lecoo Mini, the PAD P3 Compact clearly prioritises rugged protection over being as light as possible.
Price and availability
It’s available now on AGM’s official website for $280, and there’s a 5% launch discount if you use the code P3EARLY10. AGM also throws in a one-year guarantee. Overall it looks like a practical choice if you need a portable, tough tablet for outdoor or professional work.
