REDMI is getting ready to drop its next mid-range Pro phones in India. According to industry insider Yogesh Brar, the REDMI Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max are set for an official India launch on September 15. That’s only about three weeks away, so we should start seeing some official teasers any day now.

The regular Note 17 Pro is expected to come with a 6.83″ flat OLED screen that runs at 120Hz. It’s tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and the big talking point is a massive 9,000mAh battery with 67W charging. Camera-wise, rumors point to a 50MP main sensor and a 16MP selfie camera. Software support should include four years of OS updates and six years of security patches.
The higher-end Note 17 Pro Max keeps the same 6.83″ 120Hz flat OLED panel but steps up to the more powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. Battery capacity could jump even higher to 10,000mAh with 100W fast charging. It’s expected to stick with a 50MP primary camera but upgrade the front sensor to 32MP, while offering the same 4+6 years of software support.
One thing that’s standing out is the pricing. Sources say REDMI plans to hike the Note 17 Pro series by at least ₹8,000 compared to the previous Note 15 Pro generation. That would push these phones into a higher price bracket than earlier Note Pro models.
These changes, especially those huge batteries, look like REDMI is leaning hard into the all-day (and then some) battery angle for the mid-range segment. We’ll get the exact pricing, confirmed specifications, and availability details on September 15. Until then, these are the early signals of what REDMI is planning for its next big Note Pro generation in India.
