Vivo is scheduled to announce OriginOS 7 on September 16 in China. Around a week later, the brand is expected to take the covers off the much-anticipated X500 series of flagship phones for the home market. In the recent past, three X500 series devices bearing the model numbers V2602A/DA, V2608A/DA, and V2609A/BA have surfaced. Among these, the V2602DA has appeared on Geekbench with an upcoming Dimensity 9-series chip. It is believed to be the upcoming Vivo X500 Pro Max.
Vivo X500 Pro Max Satellite Communication Version emerges on Geekbench
To recall, the global version of the Vivo X500 Pro Max with the model number V2610 was spotted on Geekbench last month. Its Chinese edition is said to have the model number V2602A, while its Satellite Communication Version carries the model number V2602DA.
There are multiple Geekbench listings of the Vivo X500 Pro Max, and its Dimensity 9600 series chipset has crossed a 4,000 single-core score and a 13,000 multi-core score. The chipset includes three cores running at 3.10GHz, three cores operating at 4.35GHz, and two cores running at 4.55GHz, along with the Mali-G2-Ultra-NX MC12 GPU. Both the Chinese and global variants are powered by the same Dimensity 9600 chip.
Previously, the V2602DA device was spotted at 3C certification with a 90W charger. Speculations are rife that it will also support 40W wireless charging.
The X500 Pro Max is officially confirmed to feature a 6.85-inch BOE Q11 2K display, which may support a 144Hz refresh rate. It may pack a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus support and run on OriginOS 7-based Android 17.
Its rear camera setup may comprise a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-838 primary camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor and LOFIC technology, a new 50-megapixel Sony IMX8-series ultra-wide camera, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an 85mm focal length. Other rumored features include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and an IP68/69-rated body.
