Vivo is stepping further into the affordable audio segment in India with a new pair of truly wireless earbuds. The Vivo Buds focus on long battery life, customisable audio and low-latency connectivity. They also bring a few ecosystem-focused features for users with compatible Vivo and iQOO smartphones.
Vivo Buds features and specifications
The Vivo Buds feature 10mm high-resolution dynamic drivers with a PU and PEEK diaphragm. Vivo includes DeepX 4.0 sound effects such as Mega Bass, Clear Voice, Clear High Pitch and Audiobook mode, along with a 10-band equalizer for manual tuning. Spatial Audio is also supported on compatible Vivo and iQOO smartphones, with Theatre, Concert Hall, Studio and Live Concert modes.
Call quality is handled by four microphones, with Dual-Mic AI Call Noise Cancellation designed to reduce background sounds. A dedicated wind-noise reduction design is also included. The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.1, multipoint connectivity for two devices and a 42ms low-latency mode for gaming on supported Vivo and iQOO phones.
Each earbud weighs around 3.8g and carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The earbuds support Google Fast Pair, Find My Vivo Buds, customisable touch controls and Remote Camera Control on compatible Vivo devices. Opening the case near supported Vivo phones can also trigger a pet-themed pairing animation.
Battery life is one of the biggest selling points, with the 53mAh batteries in the earbuds rated for up to 12 hours of music playback. The 525mAh charging case takes total playback time to up to 50 hours. A 10-minute charge can provide up to four hours of playback, while calling is rated for up to seven hours on a single charge.
Vivo Buds price and availability
The Vivo Buds are priced at Rs 1,999 (~$20) in India and are available through the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and leading retail outlets. They come in Basalt Black and Nilgiri Green colour options, giving buyers two understated finishes to choose from.
