OnePlus looks just about ready to show off its next flagship. The OnePlus 16 has now picked up China’s 3C certification, which means it’s cleared all three mandatory approvals needed for a release in its home country. From the early details, it seems like they’re aiming for serious battery life, improved performance and cameras.

The model number PYB110 passed 3C certification, and it confirms 100W wired fast charging. Earlier SRRC and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approvals already verified N79 5G band support (4800–4960 MHz), so the full set of certifications is now complete.

According to the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, that 100W charging will be paired with a dual-cell battery that has a typical capacity of 9000 mAh and a rated capacity of 8780 mAh, plus 50W wireless charging. That’s a pretty big jump from the OnePlus 15’s already generous 7300 mAh battery, and it could put the OnePlus 16 near the top of the endurance charts among 2026 flagships.

On the camera side, leaks point to a versatile triple rear setup: a 200 MP main sensor (1/1.4″), a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto (1/1.95″). Performance should come from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, built on TSMC’s 2 nm process with a 2+3+3 octa-core CPU and Adreno 850 GPU. OnePlus has already confirmed a global 165 Hz refresh rate on the display, with gaming scenarios going up to 185 Hz, running ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.

Put together, it feels like a clear focus on battery life without giving up performance. The dual-cell design should reduce heating and prolong battery longivity despite 100W charging. The camera upgrades, such as larger main and telephoto sensor, look like they’re addressing a few areas previous models left room to improve.

With the certifications done and official teasers already confirming the software and display details, an October launch in China is looking more and more likely. Unfortunately, a previous report says the phone might not cross borders at all. For now, the OnePlus 16 is shaping up as one of the more complete and ambitious flagship packages in the current leak cycle.
