Redmi surprised fans in China by launching the M100 as its M-series phone. While this is a China-exclusive phone, it is a rebranded version of the Redmi 17 5G’s global version. Now, a new leak reveals the existence of the Redmi M100 Pro, giving us an early look at what to expect.
Redmi M100 Pro’s existence revealed
As per an X post by tipster Kacper Skrzypek recent software database update has apparently added the Redmi M100 Pro to Xiaomi’s device lineup. The listing links the “malachite” codename with both the Redmi Note 14 Pro and “Redmi M100Pro,” suggesting that the upcoming M-series phone could be a China-exclusive rebrand of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.
This is similar to the approach Redmi has taken with the Redmi M100, which shares its underlying platform with the Redmi 17 5G.
Redmi M100 Pro specifications (expected)
If the rebranding connection holds, the M100 Pro could retain much of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G’s hardware. This would give the China-exclusive model a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, along with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G features a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/1.65 aperture and OIS, accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. If the M100 Pro is indeed a rebranded version, these cameras could make their way to the new China model as well. The remaining expected specifications include a 5,110mAh battery with 45W wired charging, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and an IP68 rating.
