RedMagic has confirmed the launch date of its next flagship gaming smartphone. The RedMagic 12 Pro+ is expected to continue the brand’s focus on gaming performance while refining its design. It will also bring several changes to the display and overall in-hand experience.

RedMagic will hold the launch event for the 12 Pro+ on October 15 at 2:30 PM (local time) in China. The phone will be among the first devices to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme 6, which was recently unveiled.
RedMagic is positioning the 12 Pro+ as its most comfortable flagship yet, with a design focused on being lighter, thinner, narrower and more rounded than its predecessor. Promotional images show that the company has also reduced the display bezels, with the black border shrinking from 1.25mm on the previous model to 0.96mm. The phone will retain a hole-free under-display front camera design for a cleaner viewing area.
The new gaming phone is expected to place a strong emphasis on sustained performance and thermal management. RedMagic product general manager Jiang Chao said the device is designed to maintain performance during demanding gaming sessions while improving ergonomics and retaining a distinctive gaming-focused design.
The company has also teased several new cooling technologies for the phone, although their technical details have not yet been revealed. Alongside the hardware upgrades, RedMagic is preparing improvements to the system UI, overall smoothness and AI features, suggesting that the 12 Pro+ will target everyday usability as well as gaming.
