After unveiling the Vivo Y600i and Y600k Turbo phones recently in China, Vivo has quietly added another model to the Y600 family. Called the Vivo Y600s Pro, the new smartphone focuses on a large battery and a high-resolution AMOLED display. Here is everything you need to know about Vivo’s latest Y-series phone.
Vivo Y600s Pro specifications and features
The Vivo Y600s Pro features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 2,800×1,260-pixel resolution, 1.07 billion colours and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel also supports HDR and P3 wide colour gamut, and has an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and also supports an additional 8GB of Memory Fusion.
For photography, it has a 50-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 32-megapixel front camera, with electronic image stabilisation supported on both cameras.
A 10,200mAh battery is the standout feature, using a single-cell design with a rated capacity of 10,000mAh. It supports 90W wired charging and reverse charging, while other features include NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, an infrared remote and dual stereo speakers.
Vivo Y600s Pro price and availability
The Vivo Y600s Pro is available in 8GB+256GB and 8GB+512GB configurations priced at 2,699 Yuan (~$402) and 2,999 Yuan (~$447), respectively. Color options include Moonlight Black, Floating Gold, Starry Purple and Vast Blue.
Interestingly, there is virtually no difference between the Y600s Pro and the Vivo Y600 Pro launched earlier this year. Both use the same Dimensity 7300e chip, 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 10,200mAh battery, 90W charging and a 50MP + 32MP camera setup, making the Y600s Pro appear to be just a rebranded version.
