OnePlus is all set to announce the OnePlus 16 in China on October 12. The phone is expected to be a major upgrade over the OnePlus 15, with improvements to its display, cameras, processor, and battery. In recent days, the brand has confirmed several specifications, and its latest poster reveals more details ahead of Monday’s launch.

The latest promotional image highlights several features of the OnePlus 16. The phone will support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, offering flexible charging options. It will also carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water.

For navigation, the device supports tri-frequency GPS and quad-frequency BeiDou satellite positioning. Its USB Type-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 1, while connectivity features include support for the n79 high-frequency band. The phone will also feature stereo dual speakers tuned by Master, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a new high-performance X-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback. Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass will provide additional protection.

Recent reports have revealed the OnePlus 16 will feature a display with a system-wide refresh rate of 165Hz, which can reach 185Hz in supported games. Developed with BOE, the fourth-generation Oriental Screen uses X4 luminescent material and is designed to deliver smoother visuals with improved power efficiency.

The company has also confirmed a 9,000mAh Glacier Battery, paired with Oppo’s battery power management chip. OnePlus says the technology is designed to improve energy efficiency and help preserve battery health over time.

For performance, the phone will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. Its camera system will include a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. On the front, it will have a 50-megapixel selfie camera, and it will come preloaded with ColorOS 17-based Android 17.

The phone will be available in four configurations, such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It will be sold in shades like Tomorrow’s Star (gray), Martian Masterpiece (orange), and Dark Forest (black).
