Samsung’s wider foldable design opens up new ways to use the Galaxy Z Fold 8 beyond simply unfolding it into a larger screen. From watching videos at a comfortable angle to running three apps simultaneously, the device offers several practical ways to take advantage of its unconventional form factor. Here are seven ways I enjoyed using it.

7Use a magnetic-ring case and wireless power bank as a stand

My favorite setup involves a case with a magnetic ring and a Sharge wireless power bank that snaps onto the back. Together, they let me prop up the unfolded phone horizontally or vertically at different viewing angles.

Of the two portrait orientations I tried, I preferred the one that positioned the screen at just the right angle for viewing and interacting with the interface. It worked particularly well for keeping Samsung Notes and the Tips app visible side by side.

This setup does require compatible accessories, and a case with a kickstand is another option. However, the magnetic-ring arrangement gives me additional flexibility while combining a stand-like function with a wireless power bank.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8’s wider design is useful in more ways than one. Whether you are watching videos, managing multiple apps, taking photos, or keeping the phone propped up on a desk, its form factor encourages experimentation. A few minor quirks aside, it can be a versatile device for both everyday use and productivity.
