Timex has introduced a new iteration of its M79 Automatic watch, this time featuring a Warner Bros. licensing tie-in. The Looney Tunes Bugs Bunny x Timex M79 Automatic Signature Edition is currently available in the US through the company’s website for $369. The release takes the existing M79 hardware and updates the dial and case back with character-specific branding.

Design Details
Timex has given the dial a playful design, featuring a Bugs Bunny graphic against a black background with a printed signature just below it. The watch replaces the traditional seconds hand with a rotating carrot, adding a unique touch to the design.
It also features a day-date window at the 3 o’clock position, along with luminous hands and hour markers for better visibility in low-light conditions. The dial is protected by a domed acrylic crystal, which offers good impact resistance but is more susceptible to scratches than sapphire glass. However, minor scratches can generally be polished out.

The watch retains the same hardware as other models in the M79 lineup. It features a 40mm stainless steel case with a combination of brushed and polished finishes. The case measures 14.5mm in thickness and has a 46mm lug-to-lug distance, maintaining the classic proportions of a retro-style dive watch.
It comes with an 18mm stainless steel bracelet equipped with a butterfly deployant clasp and quick-release spring bars for easy strap replacement. The watch also features a unidirectional ratcheting bezel with a black and grey finish.

The watch is powered by a Japanese Miyota Caliber 8205 automatic movement with 21 jewels, a 42-hour power reserve, and hacking seconds for precise time setting.
It offers an accuracy range of -20 to +40 seconds per day and features an exhibition case back with a Looney Tunes logo. The watch also comes with 50-meter water resistance, making it suitable for everyday splashes and light swimming, but not diving.
