Amazon US has the Bose QuietComfort Headphones at just $169, down from a $359 list price. That is a strong deal for commuters and travelers who want light, comfortable headphones with strong noise cancelling.
Is this a good price?
Yes. The QuietComfort Headphones launched at $349 in late 2023, so $169 is less than half the launch price. Against Amazon’s $359 list price, you save $190, or 53%. It is also the lowest price we’ve seen lately, and about 45% below its usual price over that stretch.
Note that Amazon has cut the price before. It sold them for $249 around Black Friday 2023 and $199 around Presidents Day 2026. They returned to $169 during Prime Big Deal Days in October 2026, and this price matches that sale, so there is no reason to hold out for a bigger cut.

What you get
- Noise cancelling: Quiet Mode blocks the world, Aware Mode lets it back in, and a Custom Mode in the Bose app sits between the two. This is the main reason to buy these headphones.
- Battery: Bose rates them for up to 24 hours with noise cancelling on. A 15-minute charge gives 2.5 hours, which helps if you forget to charge before a flight.
- Connections: Multipoint links two devices at once, so you can switch between a laptop and a phone. A headphone jack covers wired use, though Bluetooth 5.1 with only AAC and SBC is dated.
- Weight: At 240 g they stay comfortable on long trips. Light weight and gentle clamping are what set these apart from cheaper rivals.
What users usually like and what they didn’t
Like:
- Very comfortable and light, with low clamping force.
- Noise-canceling ranks among the best in the class.
- They fold down, and the box includes a hard case and an audio cable.
- Bass-forward sound that most reviewers found punchy.
- The Bose app adds EQ and noise-cancelling mode controls.
Didn’t like:
- Battery life could be better.
- Bluetooth 5.1 is old, and there is no aptX.
- Call quality is not a strength.
- They can slip off with moderate movement, so they are a poor choice for workouts.
- Few new features over the QuietComfort 45 they replaced.

Should you buy it?
Buy them now if you commute or fly often and want comfort and strong noise cancelling at less than half the launch price. Skip them if you want headphones for the gym, take a lot of calls, or need more than 24 hours of battery. The Sony and Sennheiser options last far longer between charges.
