Xiaomi has launched the Smart Doorbell 4 Pro Dual Camera Edition in China for 499 yuan ($75), with an introductory price of 439 yuan ($66). It adds a secondary downward-facing camera to monitor packages alongside the main camera.

Xiaomi Smart Doorbell 4 Pro Dual Camera Specifications
The camera array consists of a 5MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Both lenses provide a diagonal field of view of over 150 degrees. The primary camera faces forward to capture people approaching the door and the general porch area, while the secondary camera is angled downward to cover the floor space.
For low-light recording, the device uses 940nm infrared LEDs. These specific infrared lights do not emit a visible red glow, which is intended to prevent the camera from being a nuisance to neighbors in shared apartment corridors.
The doorbell operates on a 9,800mAh battery. According to Xiaomi’s lab tests, this capacity provides about 172 days of use per charge, assuming the device records 20 ten-second, motion-triggered clips daily.
Motion detection relies on dual passive infrared (PIR) sensors that cover a 180-degree horizontal area and can detect movement up to five meters away. You can adjust the detection sensitivity and recording intervals within the Mi Home app.

On the software side, the doorbell features AI recognition for people, packages, and pets, as well as free cloud-based facial recognition. It also supports voice-changing calls, custom voice replies, and an automatic ambient light that turns on when someone approaches at night.
For video storage, the device accepts microSD cards up to 256GB and includes 72 hours of free rolling cloud storage. Data transmission is secured with AES-128 encryption and a dedicated Mi Home security chip.
The doorbell integrates heavily into Xiaomi’s ecosystem. It supports Xiaomi HyperConnect for viewing live feeds on compatible Xiaomi TVs and smart displays, alongside XiaoAI voice commands for checking battery levels or pulling up the camera feed. The hardware mounts via a 3M adhesive pad or screws and includes a tamper alarm that sounds a siren, records video, and sends a phone alert if someone tries to pry it off the wall.
In related news, Xiaomi has recently launched the Smart 4G Camera 3 with 3K recording and 360-degree rotation, alongside a new portable hair dryer featuring a 110,000 RPM motor and 10 drying modes.
