Vivo X500 series, Vivo Watch GT 2 officially teased in India, launching soon

Vivo has started teasing the X500 series in India, indicating that its latest flagship lineup is preparing for a domestic debut. The phones first arrived in China in September and made their way to Europe last month. With the series also reaching Southeast Asian markets, Vivo has now published an Indian landing page showcasing the X500 series alongside the Watch GT 2, which appears to be its first smartwatch for the Indian market.

Vivo X500 series teasers begin in India

The newly published teaser showcases the Vivo X500 series with ZEISS branding and a sunset-themed background. It seemingly highlights the Vivo X500 Pro Max with a prominent circular camera module, accompanied by a large telephoto accessory marked 400mm Equivalent. This appears to be the Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, designed to offer extended zoom capabilities with compatible X500 models.

Interestingly, the teaser also features a smartwatch alongside the smartphone and camera accessory. The footnote confirms that it is the Vivo Watch GT 2, which has so far remained limited to China. Its possible appearance indicates that Vivo could introduce the wearable alongside its flagship phones in India. The watch offers a 2.07-inch display, health tracking features and more than 100 sports modes.

Vivo X500 series’ launch timeframe

Vivo launched the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max in China on September 21, followed by their European debut on October 27. The lineup has also started reaching Southeast Asian markets, including Malaysia, while the Philippines is among the markets lined up for availability.

For India, a recent report suggested that the X500 series would debut by the end of November. The lineup is expected to include all three models, with the Pro Max leading the range through its 200-megapixel ZEISS APO telephoto camera and support for a 400mm-equivalent telephoto extender.
