OnePlus 6T is the first OnePlus smartphone to be made available through a well-known U.S. carrier. The handset that has been exclusively available through T-Mobile in the U.S has met with outstanding launch day sales. Compared to the first day sales of the OnePlus 6 in the U.S., the OnePlus 6T met with 86 percent higher sales on the launch dT-Mobile is selling the 8 GB RAM variant of the OnePlus 6T that comes with an inbuilt storage of 128 GB with a price tag of $579. It can be also bought through monthly installments of $24.17 for a period of 24 months. Soon after the launch event in the U.S. on Nov. 29, T-Mobile had begun the sales of the OnePlus at its Times Square flagship store. The carrier had claimed that compared to the Apple iPhone XS that was released in September, there was longer line to purchase the OnePlus 6T phone.
Since the OnePlus 6T T-Mobile variant carries support for Band 13, the handset can be also by Verizon users. However, it does not support for all the network bands of Verizon because of which users may face issues like not receiving text messages and slower LTE speeds. The OP6T is not officially available for buying through Verizon. In the U.S., OnePlus is also selling the unlocked version of the OnePlus 6T that features dual SIM function.
The OnePlus 6T comes in other variants such as 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB. These variants are available in other markets like China, Europe and India. The phone also comes in other color options such as Midnight Black and Thunder Purple. The Purple variant is exclusively available in China.
OnePlus 6T is the company’s first phone to feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner and also lack support for 3.5mm audio jack. It features 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 845, 3,700mAh battery with 20W fast charging, 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera and 16-megapixel selfie camera.
