Over the past year, Realme has been churning out value for money smartphones across a number of price segments. Most Realme devices have gone head to head with Redmi’s bestsellers, and more often than not, it has managed to grab a chunk of Redmi’s market share in the segment. The company’s immense growth is now visible in terms of shipment numbers as well. Today, Counterpoint revealed that Realme shipped more than 10 million units in Q3 2019.

What’s more, this figure marks an incredible 808% YoY growth for the brand, which now ranks 7th in the top global smartphone list. It got into the top 10 smartphone brand’s list in Q2 2019 but now has leaped to the 7th position in Q3 2019. It’s no surprise that Realme is now the fastest-growing smartphone brand in the world.

In a market, which is traditionally extremely hard to crack, achieving such a high level of growth in just a year is truly commendable. Notably, India and Indonesia contribute to nearly 80% of the company’s shipments. Recently, it became the fourth largest brand in India grabbing a 16% market share. Realme is already present in over 20 countries and with the recent Realme X2 Pro launch, it aims to crack the European market as well.
