On 17th December 2019, Xiaomi unveiled its own portable fruits and vegetable purifier which is being crowdfunded on Xiaomi’s Youpin website. It arrives with useful features that are aimed for people that are conscious regarding their health and food quality.
According to official notes, the new Xiaomi purifier uses high energy ion purification technology. This means that water is broken down into hydroxide ions and hydrogen ions under the action of an ion generator. Through this, the device can reorganize the bacterial walls to make it easier to break them down; and once treated, the bacteria is killed by an oxidation reaction after the hydroxide ion combines with chlorine in the water to form hypochlorous acid.
In simpler terms, the fruits and vegetable purifier uses a simple chemical process that weakens and kills any harmful substance on the surface of consumer’s groceries which doesn’t hard the food. The device has been officially stated to have an effectiveness of 99.99 percent in killing bacteria and also having pesticide degradation effects great than 90 percent.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi fruits and vegetable purifier is powered by a large 4,400mAh battery which also supports wireless charging. Reportedly, it can work up to or more than 35 times on a single full charge. The Youpin product is rated with IPX7 waterproof rating as well.
Xiaomi’s new consumer-friendly product is available as crowdfunding and arrives in a full white body with a circle LED indicator on its side. Lastly, the product carries a price tag of 199 Yuan or roughly 28.42 US Dollars.
