Two new scooters have been unveiled by Nisiki Technologies in India. The Poise NX-120 and Grace electric scooters both come with swappable batteries and range up to 140km. Both models are available in five color options and are priced at Rs. 1,24,000 (~$1619) and Rs. 1,04,000 (~$1,358) respectively. These prices are ex-showroom and will change when other components are factored in.
The swappable battery setup for both the Poise NX-120 and Grace e-scooters offer an extended range for the two EVs. The battery in both models can be charged with 220V mains electricity indoors. Nisiki Technologies says it is also developing the Zuink e-scooter which can deliver speeds up to 90km/h. The new pair of e-scooters cannot achieve speeds beyond 55km/h.
The features available in the Poise NX-120 and Grace e-scooters include Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging ports, tubeless tires, an effective front, and rear braking system, and enough legroom for the rider and passenger.
The new electric scooters are manufactured in the company’s Bangalore facility which has a capacity of 30,000 electric vehicles in 2022, which will be scaled further to about 100,000 EVs by 2023.
According to Vital Bellador, the managing director of Nisiki Technologies, the goal of the company is to strike a balance between technology, breakthrough, cost accessibility, and sustainability. This aligns with the cleaner India initiative that has seen a meteoric rise in the demand for electric vehicles across all segments.
The Poise NX-120 and Grace e-scooters will enjoy battery swapping support across the country, as the company is partnering with swapping stations and P2P charging partners to provide charging points facilities across the country.
