Tech giants Microsoft and Samsung have always had a close relationship as they have previously offered multiple features exclusive to each other’s operating systems. One good example would be that the Galaxy devices are the only smartphones other that Microsoft Surface Duo devices capable of opening mobile apps on Windows using the My Phone app.

Samsung Gaming Hub Xbox app

Now, the two brand’s collaboration is about to expand to Samsung’s smart TVs as Microsoft has announced that some of the upcoming Samsung TVs bring along the Xbox App and Game Pass. The new features will be included in the Samsung Gaming Hub, which will be the first Smart TV platform to include the Xbox app on Smart TVs.

The brand has revealed that the TVs launching with Xbox App and Game Pass will be the Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, QLEDs, and 2022 Smart Monitor Series. This new feature will essentially make these TVs into gaming machines as they will get access to cloud gaming via the Xbox App and will be able to stream over 100 high-quality games like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5. This will also allow users to play new games released by Xbox Game Studios on Day one.

But if you don’t plan on buying a new Samsung television, don’t worry, because Microsoft is also working on a dongle device codenamed “Keystone,” which will enable users to stream Xbox Game pass games directly to their televisions without the need for any additional hardware other than the Keystone dongle.
