Samsung’s most awaited Galaxy Unpacked event is just around the corner and the company is expected to launch a handful of products including the new Galaxy Foldables, Galaxy Watch 5, 5 Pro, and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. The new Galaxy Buds will be the successor to the first-generation Galaxy Buds Pro launched last year in January. Today, a new report is here with the alleged pricing of the upcoming Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in the US market.
Citing retail sources, 9to5Google claims that the price of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will be $229.99. This is a significant increase over the previous generation of galaxy hearables. Currently, it is not known whether Samsung has also improved the underlying hardware or not. The publication, citing sources, states that the South Korean company has added 24-bit audio to the earbuds.
Samsung’s earbuds have been quite popular among consumers but this year it might face stiff competition from the new Pixel Buds Pro which launched recently for $200. The latest Pixel Buds are the most premium earbuds from Google so far and they come with ANC, multidevice connection, and transparency mode.
Recently, renders of the upcoming Galaxy Buds surfaced online showcasing the design of the earbuds. As it can be seen in the renders, the design of the new earbuds is almost the same as the previous gen Buds Pro. It is rumored to be available in a new color, dubbed Bora Purple.
As mentioned, The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro may launch on August 10 at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. We hope to learn more details about them in the coming days.
