Sony has just launched its latest entry in its iconic Walkman series of audio products. The company claims that the new device will offer a world class audio experience, so here are all the details.
The Japanese tech giant has unveiled the new NW-A306 Walkman which is a stylish and compact music player. It comes with a lightweight and compact design that makes it quite portable since it weighs just 199 grams. The front sports a 3.6 inch touch display that also has a tactile physical music controls as well. This product is clearly built for audiophiles as it supports S-Master HX digital amp technology, which is proprietary to Walkman.
Furthermore, it also comes with high resolution audio support while using Edge AI with DSEE Ultimate (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine). This tech can upscale compressed digital music files in real time. In simpler terms improved audio quality of your favorite songs. Other optimizations come in the form of restoring acoustic subtleties and dynamic range for an improved audio experience.
The new Sony Walkman also offers a longer lasting battery life compared to its predecessors. The new NW-A306 model can allow users to see a 36 hours of audio playback of 44.1kHz FLAC playback. On the other hand, the 96kHz FLAC high resolution audio playback can last for up to 32 hours. The new Walkman was just released in the Indian market for a price tag of 25,990 INR (roughly 315 US Dollars).
