Under the hood, it may be powered by the Helio G96 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device could potentially run on the latest Android 13 OS with MIUI 14 as the user interface. The device is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Redmi Note 12S is rumored to sport a quad-camera setup on the rear, featuring a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it may house a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
