TCL’s sub-brand FFalcon Thunderbird has introduced a new gaming monitor called Q7 in the Chinese market. Let’s check out its key specs.

Thunderbird Q7 Monitor

FFALCON Thunderbird Q7 Specifications:

This monitor features a 27-inch FAST HVA panel that utilizes eight-channel AM-driven MiniLED and quantum dot technology. It offers a resolution of 2560×1440 and a refresh rate of 240Hz, making it suitable for high-performance gaming and professional use.

The Q7 boasts 1152 local dimming zones, which contribute to its dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and static contrast ratio of 2500:1. This technology also supports instantaneous backlight response and flicker-free operation, achieving 16-bit DC pure direct current dimming.

The monitor can reach a peak brightness of 1600 nits and is certified by VESA DisplayHDR 1400, ensuring vibrant HDR content with low black levels of 0.001 nits. In terms of color accuracy, the Q7 covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 99% of the sRGB color gamut, with a Delta E value of less than 2. This ensures precise color reproduction, which is beneficial for content creators and designers.

The monitor also features a 1ms GTG response time, reducing motion blur and providing a smoother visual experience. It is compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, enabling synchronized refresh rates to prevent screen tearing and stuttering.

In terms of connectivity, the monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DP 1.4 port, and a headphone jack, making it versatile for use with both computers and gaming consoles. The Q7 also features a five-in-one joystick button for efficient control.

The Q7 includes a variety of user-friendly features such as a low blue light eye protection mode to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. It supports PIP/PBP multi-screen functionality, allowing users to connect and display content from two different sources simultaneously. The monitor is also equipped with a retractable headphone holder and an adjustable stand, which can be tilted, rotated, and adjusted in height to enhance user comfort.
