Vivo is set to launch its X200 series phone on October 14 in China. We are expecting three smartphones in the line — the Vivo X200, X200 Pro mini, and X200 Pro.

The design renders of all three phones have already surfaced, along with various leaks and teasers revealing key details. Now, thanks to a tip on Weibo by the well-known tech insider Digital Chat Station (DCS), we might have clue about the pricing as well.

Here’s how much the Vivo X200 series might cost

It’s important to note that DCS didn’t reveal the exact prices for the X200, X200 Pro mini, and X200 Pro. Instead, they hinted that the price range for the phones would fall between 4,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan (roughly USD 570 to USD 712). That’s initially, though.

DCS later edited the Weibo post, narrowing the price down to a range of 4,000 yuan to somewhere around 4,XXX yuan (roughly USD 570 to ? USD). The tipster cites the reduction in price as because “executives have been persuaded” to do so.

Though the new range is still somewhat vague, we could expect the Vivo X200 to start at 4,000 yuan. And if this holds true, the phone will have the same price tag as its predecessor, despite the expected increase in component costs.

Particularly the upcoming flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset is rumored to get a price hike, which could (if happens) affect device pricing for consumers.

A Vivo official even publicly acknowledged the possibility of increased chipset costs recently. But if Vivo manages to maintain last year’s pricing despite these challenges, it would be a big win for consumers.

Vivo X200 Ultra price?

While the edited Weibo post reveals the price for the above-mentioned Vivo X200 series phone, DCS also hinted at the price of a “large cup” model in the original post.

DCS didn’t explicitly name the model,  but the tipster is likely referring to Vivo X200 Ultra. The higher-end model, according to DCS, might push the price barrier ever further at around 5,500 yuan (roughly USD 770).
