Realme GT 7 Pro was announced earlier this month in China as the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite phone. On Nov. 26, the device will be unveiled to the global market. One of the major highlights of the GT 7 Pro is its massive battery, which is higher than any other Snapdragon 8 Elite phone available in the Chinese market. A new development reveals that the battery size of the GT 7 Pro’s global version will be smaller than its Chinese edition.
Global Realme GT 7 Pro’s battery size revealed

As confirmed by the brand, the Realme GT 7 Pro heading to the global market, including India, will have a 5,800mAh battery. In comparison, the Chinese model packs a much bigger 6,500mAh battery. Like the Chinese variant, the global version supports 120W fast charging.
This is not the only phone that comes with a reduced battery size. The Chinese version of the iQOO 13, which was announced last month, packs a 6150mAh battery. On the other hand, its Indian variant will house a smaller 6,000mAh battery.
There is no official statement from Realme or iQOO on why the global versions of their upcoming flagship phones have smaller batteries compared to their Chinese counterparts. The Chinese iQOO 13 weighs around 207 to 212 grams, whereas the Realme GT 7 Pro available in China weighs 223 grams. Reduced battery size on their global variants would possibly allow them to keep the weight under 200 grams.
Additionally, several factors could account for the differences in battery capacities between the Chinese and global editions of the iQOO 13 and Realme GT 7 Pro. Market preferences, regulatory requirements, and usage patterns can vary by region, influencing the design and specifications. Moreover, component availability, supply chain logistics, and regional certification standards can impact battery sizes.
