Oppo’s upcoming foldable smartphone, the Find N5, is set to receive a significant AI upgrade. According to the brand, the device will integrate DeepSeek-R1, an advanced AI model, enabling seamless voice activation and smart functionalities. This makes the Find N5 one of the first Oppo devices to support this AI assistant, offering users a more intuitive experience.
Oppo Find N5: DeepSeek-R1 integration

The Oppo Find N5 will come with built-in DeepSeek-R1 support, allowing users to activate and interact with the AI assistant through voice commands. This functionality will be accessible via Oppo’s Xiaobu Assistant, eliminating the need for additional downloads or complex setup processes. By integrating DeepSeek-R1, OPPO aims to enhance the hands-free experience, making AI assistance more accessible and efficient.
Beyond basic AI functions, DeepSeek-R1 on the Find N5 will also enable online search capabilities, allowing users to retrieve real-time information without manual input. Furthermore, the AI model can generate and export results as local files, making it easier for users to store and reference information when needed.
The Find N5 is poised to be the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone, combining cutting-edge hardware with advanced AI features. Its integration with DeepSeek-R1 positions it as a pioneering device in Oppo’s lineup, setting a new standard for foldable phones. First-batch buyers will be among the earliest to experience these AI-driven enhancements, marking a significant leap in smart device interactions.
Oppo is expected to unveil the Oppo Find N5 in the next week. The device will come with key features, such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, around 5,700mAh battery, 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and up to IXP9-level water resistance. It will come in three shades, such as black, white, and purple. The device is said to have an ultra-thin profile of 9.2mm in the folded state.
Oppo is yet to confirm the Find N5 launch date. Most likely, the foldable phone and the company’s next flagship smartwatch, the Watch X2, will be announced in the next week. Currently, both devices are available for pre-orders in China.
