iQOO has launched the Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro tablets in China, expanding its presence in the high-performance Android tablet space. The new models come with MediaTek’s latest flagship chipsets, high refresh rate displays, and large batteries. iQOO is positioning both tablets as versatile devices for entertainment, gaming, and productivity.

iQOO Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro Specifications

The Pad 5 Pro features a 13.2-inch LCD display with a 3.1K resolution (3096×2064), a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. The display supports HDR10 and the P3 wide color gamut, and maintains professional-grade color accuracy with Delta E ≈ 0.8.

The standard Pad 5 uses a 12.1-inch 2.8K display (2800×1968) with the same refresh rate but a lower peak brightness of 900 nits. Both panels include hardware-level low blue light filtering, DC dimming, and a paper-like reading mode.

The Pad 5 Pro runs on the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process. It features a 3.73GHz ultra-large core and a 12-core Immortalis-G925 GPU. The Pad 5 uses the Dimensity 9300+ chipset with the Immortalis-G720 GPU. Both chipsets are developed using the Blue Crystal chip stack, which improves performance and efficiency. The Pro model achieves AnTuTu scores above 2.94 million.

Both tablets run Android 15 with OriginOS 5D. They feature floating windows, remote PC control, and cross-device collaboration through the Connection Center. The system supports WPS Office, CAJViewer, document editing, and screen extension for a desktop-like work experience. They also include AI-powered tools like voice transcription, smart meeting summaries, and presentation generation powered by the DeepSeek-R1 engine.

The Pad 5 Pro includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The Pad 5 has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Both setups cover basic photography and video conferencing needs.

The Pad 5 Pro comes with a 12,050mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. iQOO claims it can deliver up to 18 hours of offline video playback and 65 days of standby time. The Pad 5 has a 10,000mAh battery with 44W charging. Both tablets use intelligent battery management systems and multiple energy-saving features to extend usage and preserve battery health.

The Pad 5 Pro weighs 635 grams and is 6.07mm thick. It includes an 8-speaker sound system with high-low frequency separation and Super Audio 6.0 tuning. The Pad 5 is slightly thicker at 6.62mm and weighs 590 grams. It has a 6-speaker setup. Both models support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1).

iQOO uses a 40,600mm² heat dissipation structure in the Pad 5 Pro and a 34,200mm² system in the Pad 5. Both devices support accessories like the Smart Touch Keyboard and Pencil 3, which include magnetic charging and low-latency input.

Pricing and Availability

The Pad 5 is available in four variants: 8GB+128GB for 2,499 yuan (approx. $345), 8GB+256GB for 2,799 yuan (approx. $385), 12GB+256GB for 3,099 yuan (approx. $425), and 16GB+512GB for 3,499 yuan (approx. $480).

The Pad 5 Pro comes in four configurations: 8GB+256GB for 3,199 yuan (approx. $440), 12GB+256GB for 3,499 yuan (approx. $480), 12GB+512GB for 3,799 yuan (approx. $520), and 16GB+512GB for 3,999 yuan (approx. $545).

Both tablets are now available in China through Vivo’s official eStore and retail channels.
